At The Pattie Group, we don’t just create award-winning landscapes—we build careers, shape futures, and design environments where both people and nature flourish. If you’re looking for more than just a job in landscaping, it’s time to discover the difference at The Pattie Group.

All of these employees from The Pattie Group have over 25 years of experience, some with as much as 40 years.

Discover the Difference

At The Pattie Group, the difference starts with our people. From day one, you’re not just joining a landscaping company—you’re becoming part of a team that’s deeply committed to your growth, wellbeing, and long-term success.

Whether you’re on a design team, in the nursery, or leading a crew in the field, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals who share a mission: to create meaningful outdoor spaces and make a real difference in people’s lives—including your own.

“What we do is of greater value than maybe people realize,” says Jonas Pattie, co-owner. “We create outdoor places that bring families together—and that purpose inspires everything we do, including how we support the people who make it possible.”

This purpose-driven approach to landscaping fuels everything we do—and we’re looking for passionate people to help us continue the legacy.

With specialized teams, in-house experts, and a collaborative environment, you’ll have every opportunity to deepen your skills, pursue your interests, and build a career you’re proud of. It’s not just about landscaping—it’s about building something lasting, both in the world and in your life.

A Culture Built on Teamwork and Trust

Working at The Pattie Group means becoming part of a team that truly values its people. We believe that strong relationships, respect, and collaboration are the cornerstones of great work. You’re not just an employee here—you’re a vital part of a family-run company that invests in your future.

“I feel like I work somewhere where I’m supported and a valued member of the team,” says Steve Walker, Landscape Management Operations Manager. “They are very family-oriented and care about more than your lineal nine-to-five day.”

You’ll find a place where your voice matters, your expertise is respected, and your contributions are recognized.

Employees of The Pattie Group gather inside a large workshop or breakroom, seated at long tables for a team meeting or training session. A man stands addressing the group, while others engage in conversation. An American flag hangs on the wall, and a sign above reads, “Only Mother Nature Does It Better.”

Opportunities to Grow—In Every Direction

Whether you're an experienced professional or new to the industry, The Pattie Group is deeply committed to your personal and professional growth.

All team members complete 45 hours of continuing education every year—from technical certifications to podcasts, books, and even personal development resources.

“As long as it’s growth, it’s education,” says David Fredrickson, Director of Electrical Services. “The more I know, the more I can contribute to the team and to our clients.”

You’ll work alongside industry experts and seasoned leaders in a supportive environment designed to help you succeed—and advance.

Highly Specialized Teams with a Shared Mission

At The Pattie Group, collaboration is everything. Our team includes:

  • Nine in-house architects and designers
  • Dedicated plant health care specialists
  • A full-time, on-staff electrician
  • Horticulture experts and maintenance professionals

This team-based approach ensures every outdoor space is expertly designed, built, and maintained—from soil health to seasonal lighting.

“We create outdoor rooms,” says Josh Tooker, Senior Landscape Architect. “They have floors, walls, ceilings. Everything is intentional—from where the sun hits at dinnertime to how kids move through the yard.”

In-House Nursery for Outstanding Results

Our private nursery gives us the ability to provide clients with top-quality, mature plantings—delivering finished results that look and feel complete from day one.

“It’s about using the space and feeling like it’s complete,” Tooker adds. “Just like you wouldn’t want to live in a half-finished house, outdoor spaces should feel done from the start.”

This commitment to quality also makes your job more rewarding. You get to work with the best materials and see the impact of your craftsmanship right away.

Unique Maintenance Philosophy

Unlike the “mow, blow, and go” maintenance approach used by many companies, The Pattie Group uses a scientific, soil-level strategy focused on the health and longevity of every landscape.

“We’re balancing science and art,” explains Walker. “It’s a holistic, ecological approach—backed by a team of experts working together to protect our clients’ investments.”

You’ll be part of a thoughtful, detail-oriented team that takes pride in long-term results and lifelong client relationships.

A Family Legacy of Excellence

The Pattie Group has grown into one of the country’s most respected landscape firms. Now into the second generation led by Brian and Jonas Pattie, the company remains true to its roots: family, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

“It’s teamwork,” says Jonas Pattie. “And out of those people, we expect—and receive—honesty and integrity.”

In return, team members are given the support, education, and freedom to grow into their best selves—personally and professionally.
